 AmoliaMae - The Traditional English Nightwear Co.
AmoliaMae is named after two particularly inspiring women, my great-great grandmother, Amolia, and my grandmother, May. Born in 1862 and 1912, these two strong and bold women overcame many adversities, always forging ahead to live their best life. Being quite keen seamstresses in their day, they believed in traditions and knew the importance of quality garments and fabrics, instilling these important skills upon their children. I am their granddaughter and am proud to name our company in their honor. Their inspiration drives me each and every day.
Being an American Mom in England, I have had the pleasure of being introduced to the uniquely chic, exquisitely luxurious and fabulously trendy and innovative products that are not easily found in North America. A collection I quickly fell in love with, for myself and my daughter, is nightwear from Powell Craft of England. Giving back is quite important to us at AmoliaMae. That is why we are so pleased that a percentage of sales is donated to the Mobile Creches in India. The Mobile Creche charity is "a just and caring world which enables young children of marginalised and mobile populations to develop into competent and confident individuals". Every sale helps to build Creches and Daycare Centres to care for children at construction sites and slums of Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad (National Capital Region).
